But please,
Just one Christian/Religionist here,
Please explain to me the doctrine of eternal torment.

I dont care what your belief is.
Catholic, Muslim, Protestant, Evangelical or otherwise..

How on Gods Earth can you justify an eternal torture for those not of your faith?

This is one thing that I really dont get or understand.
I wouldnt want even the bloody Yorkshire Ripper or Ian Brady to be burned alive eternally.
But they are lumped together with Aunty Ethel and Uncle Bob because they once had a bonk before they were married.
Or some poor sod found himself on his uppers (as happened many times today)
But because they dont believe as you do, they are going to burn!

//You will have all of eternity to consider it.//
Oh that eternal stick that they all beat us with!
(No carrot?)

As if we can all call up love for a being that would put us all in eternal torment for not telling it is how good it is for all eternaty.
Am I missing something here....?
Even you Khandro must see that a world statistic tops a Sunday in the UK.
World statistics mean very little to the man on the Clapham omnibus.

I don't recall either Buddha or Jesus saying we must love everyone in the world unconditionally; Jesus told his disciples to 'love one another', & Buddhism teaches the need for wisdom as well as compassion. Having compassion for everyone no matter who they are or what they have done would not demonstrate much in the way of wisdom.
But what do I know?

Do you not?
Anyhow, were you their at the time of these utterences?
//Majority agreed with segregation in the USA until
Rosa Parks said No.//

So many analogies you could have chosen, Nailit.
Yet you picked one you clearly know nothing about.
My unsolicited advice would be to use the old 'Majority thought the Sun went around the Earth, lol'.
You'll be on solid ground. Only a weapons grade idiot would argue that it does. Plus you can give the Catholic Church some grief.
