Do people who do crosswords (I don't) when stumped for an answer, instead of asking for assistance on AB, put it aside & return to it later in the day & find the solution more easily; possibly even wondering why they didn't see it before ?

It is there because it is about spirituality; human inner-nature as distinct from the material world; that is to say, intuition, consciousness etc.
Yes nailit, Rupert Sheldrake, who is "qualified as a brilliant biochemist and cell biologist" supports these ideas, but is not alone. Pondering them I thought AB would be an interesting place to pose the OP, I know of nowhere else where a group of crossword puzzlers gather. I am interested in IF it happens rather than people's own interpretation of WHY they think it does.
It isn't a matter of a morning-published crossword being easier in the evening per se, but only if a puzzler had considered the question first & then abandoned it.

I dont know if you are familiar with Richard Wiseman, the sceptic, psychologist and magician?

But I have read everyone of his many books and seen tons of footage of his vids and TV appearances.
He once debunked Sheldrake's 'pet' experiment.
Further research shows that he doctored video footage (shown on national TV) to his own ends.
He went down a notch in my estimation.
Although I still think he has something of value to say.
I think that Sheldrake is on to something here.
Not from a religious viewpoint but from a scientific one.
Odd things happen to many people which require an explanation.
Everything cannot be put down to chance...
The amount of times that I have thought about a particular friend and then they ring/text is ridiculous and far beyond chance would allow.

Khandro, I've watched a bit of that video but it is over an hour and twenty minutes long so I don’t know when I'll get around to watching the rest. What were his conclusions?
I know he's Christian and minutes in, when he spoke about people experiencing 'a great consciousness than their own', I had my doubts about where he was going with it.
I recall him once saying that 'science is limited by assumption' - or words to that effect. He's absolutely right and that has always been a bee in my bonnet - but by the same token religion is also limited by assumption. Devoted allegiance to either precludes the ability to formulate truly unbiased theories.
