Is The Universe Itself 'God'
24 Answers
Science itself tell us that that matter (electrons, protons etc, that make up atoms, that make up matter) can neither be destroyed or created.
Therefore matter itself is eternal.
ergo, matter itself is eternal.
A manifestation of god right?
And the big-bang doesnt tell us how life started.
It simply tells us how THIS life started.
Just a follow on from a conversation with a friend,....

So why did he create a universe like this one?
Its not the fault of me or you that earthquakes take lives.
Its not the fault of me or you that kids die of cancer, or that
people go hungry in 3rd world countries, we can't help where we are born.
If you believe in an omnipotent God, then
your God must take the blame.
Non of us asked for tsunamis,
Non of us asked for hurricanes,
Non of us asked for any *** that comes our way.
But god chose it that way??
Really?

If time proves to be an illusion then nothing changes, however there would appear to you to be change because different states of you, would be aware of different states of everything else surrounding you; and because you believe in cause and effect you would simply interpret it as an ordered sequence in time in order to stay sane.
But if time proves fundamental then a deity can change, and would need to do so to remain the best state, "whatever that means", in the changing circumstances/environment. (Assuming, of course, you require your deity to be the best state always.)

Maybe the universe was created like this because it was the best that self ran, and resulting in not only in life but life complex enough to be inhabited by intelligent beings. Earthquakes etc. are probably a requirement for life to evolve. As far as I can tell religions tend to say that individuals both have to return to a spiritual plane someday, something gets you eventually, and read enough NDE reports, a common theme is that all sorts of life experiences exist so we can choose which to experience in our lifetime in order to progress to being a better entity.
Of course that leads to all sorts of quandries while we're here. Do you help when you see someone in trouble and interfere with their chosen experiences, or just leave them so they may progress as they chose ? I can't see the latter being the right course somehow.
