This from the dulpicitous bunch who promised not to hit the working man with taxes.  Who do they think will be paying the increased costs?

It's not just council budgets though. It's blowing a black hole in company finances as well.  A relative has been made redundant as the company is moving operations overseas due to the rise in NI and the minimum wage.

I seem to recall one of our correspondents  suggesting that people were making too much of  big deal over the employers' NI increases.

yes - not all employers are obscene capitalists!

Indeed NJ - he said he thought people were making a "fuss" about the NI raid. It was naivety taken to a weapons grade level.
