I believe that the Bibles' descriptions of events leading up to the, "End Times," have remarkable parrallells to what we see and hear daily in the news bulletins.
Israel, and particularly Jerusalem, are central to this.
Have a browse around Bob Westbrooks' site to get a 'feel' for the subject, and then proceed to discuss it with me, or ridicule me, whichever flavour you prefer.

Israel occupying somebody elses land? I think a bit more study of the history of Israel would tell you otherwise. Regarding the West Bank, the Arabs had it and didn't set up a Palestinian state, just used it to attack Israel, who defeated the aggressors, and THEN occupied the land to prevent a repetition. But of course you prefer to believe Arab / muslim propaganda.

Jake - you are spot on. The Jehovahs Witnesses have been doing this for years .... and then turning up for work.
No, I'm not into predictions and giving times out like they do. I'm simply saying that I believe it, the Bible scenario compared to the Middle Eastern news we get daily .... and we and the U.S. are not the only members of the nuclear club, Ahmadinejad is about to join, he who sponsors Hizbollah, partners with Syria, and promotes terrorism generally. Now that, is freaky.

...... and do you want to buy a book of Spam recipes? "Spam Bunker Bake etc?"
Well the real "experts" are these guys

http://www.raptureready.com/rap2.html

They do an index based on false christs, Israel, plagues floods down to Inflation unemployment abortion and Liberalism.

They mix it all up and publish a daily "Rapture index".

Today's RI is down 1 to 157 just 1 up on this year's low.

Looks like we're safe for a few days yet!

(I wonder if their mothers know they're out?)
Must appologise Naomi, I didn't realise a passage from the bible could cause you so much offence. I heard a sermon based on that passage and I've never been back, not because I was offended but because I saw what Matthew was saying differed so much from what these christian nutters are proclaiming! God is gracious but these idiots that are hell bent on arming mental zionist states like Israel with nuclear weapons are just asking for trouble. Send them food not bombs you bloody idiots, do you really think you can bomb your way into heaven??? Read that passage, it's very good you know. God bless you all, and may it be an all inclusive party at the pearly gates! Heed this all ye racist zealots you will never get into heaven without being kind and feeding your poor brothers, the end of the world isn't nigh, it's not going to happen until we can all live in harmony down here! People will come and go in the meantime though and if you fail the test of being compassionate and godly which most churches are bleeding well doing then you will never get into heaven, use your mind, see through the lies and lead a good life. Peace!
Skreech, no apology necessary. Your post didn't cause me any offence at all - it's simply that whilst believers might see these texts as 'evidence' or 'proof', they mean and prove absolutely nothing to non-believers.

Hi Mani, a charismatic politician who does remarkable things and whom people love? Can't wait for that one to appear! That'll be a real first!
-- answer removed --
Mani, do you really? Tell me what you see in him that I don't. I think he's a dreadful man so I'd seriously like to know. I think you're right though - the saviour of the world he's not!
hey Mani,
care to answer my post / question?
http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Society-and-Cul ture/Religion-and-Spirituality/Question405691- 2.html
or have we got to listen to you while you ignore us?
Why is this verse fact while other verses (that you dont like ) are symbolic?

Question Author
Mani - Thanks for your post. A kindred spirit.
Yes, the more one delves into it, the more amazing it becomes. Even in the face of such cynicism as has been posted here. But, never mind, every day that goes by reveals more and more of the accuracy of the prophecies.
Morning Theland, gosh, dare I say it? That sounds like something out of Harry Potter!
Yikes! Theland quotes Harry Potter?
The end is nigh! lmao
Question Author
Harry Potter? Me? Never read him. So what part of the quote do Harry and I have in common?
Maybe I'm getting messages in my subconscious from the, "other side." Freaky!
Question Author
Wonder why it took me so long to be shocked at the thought of Mibs reading Harry Potter? Well there you are, I'm shocked.
I thought Mibs would be reading something like, "The Half Life Of Uranium 234 And Its Impact On Lexicography," or some other light tome from his coffee table.
Theland - prophesies and Harry Potter go hand in hand - along with the fight between good and evil. Spooky eh? You really should give it a try you know - you might even enjoy it.

mibs seems a sensible sort of chap, so I'm not surprised he knows about Harry Potter.
