From all the debates on R&S, has anything said really made you think about your own personal views on certain subjects, made you consider other possibilities regarding belief or just plain enlightened anyone as to facts or knowledge previously unknown?

Hi Luna, I enjoy the debate here very much, but it has done nothing to tempt me to seek religion. I like to read other people's views, and often find them helpful. I think we probably all learn a lot from AB.

I know I personally haven't contributed that much myself unless anyone wants to know the lyrics to "Blame It On The Boogie" but I am sometimes amazed at the depth of knowledge by other posters on here and always enjoy the debates. I too Naomi wont be picking up a hymn book anytime soon but needless to say I continue to seek and learn much from entering into the foray.
I think we all deserve a cup of Ovaltine or maybe something a little stronger.
I never contribute to R&S but I always read the Q&A's, I find it really interesting and never ceased to be amazed by everyones knowledge, and it is definitely food for thought!
lun-a-tic, Good question-no of course we don't change we are all locked into our views and won't or can't change.

Hello Bri, No need for anyone to completely change, just thought I'd ask to see if those of us that visit these particular topics have got anything from the experience of the debates?
And I don't mean a headache, although that could happen.
Not in R & S, but elsewhere on answerbank people have put forward arguments that have made me change my opinion on certain issues. I've actually thought, 'you know what, you're right about that and I'm wrong'.
Those of us who have not yet completely mastered the art of pie dodging must at least have a better idea of their favorite flavour, eh Theland?
Mushimmsplurge i Sorry! Just wiping the cream and custard from my face! Must sidestep a little sooner!
But, actually, yes, The wonderful pie throwers on this topic actually do make me question my beliefs, and that's no bad thing.
I do not claim to have all of the answers to the hurling pies thrown at me, but I am convicted in my heart that my beliefs are right.
I do not wish to impose my beliefs on anybody, but simply to share them.
But love coming on here.

Thank you Theland. Pies or no pies, you have always managed to stand your ground.
I've yet to read anything in R&S that has made me think twice or backtrack on my opinions and perceptions.

If anything this section has bored me of the whole god/no god debate, more frustrated really. Which is a shame as I used to enjoy it.
Hi Llamatron, that is a shame. What particular topics of discussion did you enjoy most?
Question Author
We may never reach a conclusion in regards to the God/No God debate but that type of question will always be asked, whether on this site or elsewhere.
How can we cheer you up Llamatron?
(careful now .... )
