atheism - where to start?

I caught the end of an interview ob radio five yesterday with christopher hitchens and a lot of what he was saying seemed to make sense to me ... where is the best place to start if i were wanting to read one of his books? does he have one thats easy for non-philosophers, like me!

He does like to be controversial. But he writes far better than Richard Dawkins who always sounds to me like the subject bothers him too much.

Can't agree with NJOK. If you want to see religious belief taken into little pieces using nothing but fact, evidence, impeccable reasoning, commonsense and great style then read Dawkins' "The God Delusion". Dawkins is nothing like as bad-tempered as Hitchens, though they are both absolutely right.
