Could someone please read the passages here(particularly 19:30 through 19:38) and tell me if they are actual quotes from the bible or just twisted to suit the opinions of the particular website involved. Thanks.

On a serious tack, yes of course the quotes on the site are taken to fulfill an agenda, but nonetheless a lot of them show just how dangerous it is to take everything in the Bible (or the Quran for that matter) literally. Organised religion has been responsible for many more wars than politics has ever managed.

Love the quote on the introduction page by the way - "I can't find anything good in Genesis". Ha! You think Genesis is bad, you should hear Phil Collins' solo stuff.

Yep, they are actual quotes. Previous to this, Lot offered his daughters to a baying mob to be gang raped (Genesis. 19 v8) The bible callls Lot a righteous man (2 Peter. 2 v7

Be quiet Llamatron! It is simply impossible for humans to have any useful moral or ethical systems without the bible, which is why all atheists are rapists, child murderers and litter bugs.

As for which bits you can have to pick and choose, those with faith are able to tell which bits you can choose in the same way they can tell which bits are supposed to be taken literally, and which are metaphor.

Surely you know that "good" athiests merely have an inate spirituality that they just don't proprly recognise. It's a sign of God's grace that he can even put goodness into the hearts of athiests and non-believers.
