What would change if God imposed His Kingdom on Earth now? No wars, no religion, no governments, no fags, no booze, no crime, no drugs, no violence, no hospitals etc. Total and utter obedience to Jesus and his 144,000 kings and priests. Today. Any ideas?
Thanks

how do you sugest he would do it?? hes been trying for 2000 years and failed so far????
How do you know that's the way his Kingdom is? Because you read it in a Book? Because somebody told you? Do you always believe everything you read and hear?.

Many people believe in God or shall I say a supreme power, but how they go about their religion depends on from what Book they are reading and how they have been "brainwashed" as a child.

Don't be blinkered in your approach to religion.
well said
Well he clearly is unable to.

If he could, he would, the only other alternative is that he actually wants to see all the pain and suffering in the world and wanting to see suffering in others is a pretty fair definition of evil.

So it seems God is either incapable of ending suffering or evil
There are many rooms in God's house just as there are in your own. Some good, some not so good. Not everybody though is even trying to get into the good rooms. You only get to progress to the best room in the house which is not on this earth with time and not all will make it.
But God is all powerfull Dassie - he doesn't have to have "not so good rooms".

He doesn't have to let babies die of malnutrition.

He must want it so
Agreed Jake, he doesn't have too, but he does and from my point of view (as I believe in re-incarnation) it's because of what you ( or should I say your soul ) did in a previous life.
So presumably Dassie, you believe (like Glen Hoddle) that disabled people deserve their disability as they must have done something in a previous life.

-- answer removed --
Dassie...what an insensative person you are (not to mention stupid)
Both my father and nephew were/are confined to wheelchairs. My father was the most generous man you could ever wish to meet and my nephew is the most friendly and cheerful lad on earth. For you to 'believe' that they are paying for some past misdeamenour is both sick and demented
Mani...you make it sound as though there is something wrong with having sexual desires...
Actually I think it is more that if there is a God it would be indifference to us rather than wanting to see us suffer that would mean he/she/it does not change the world. Not because they're evil.

And frankly the amound of stuff 'God' gets blamed for and the actions carried out in his name I think I'd be pretty indifferent too.

Can't see being a scape goat for the worlds crap as being much thanks from a world I created.

But that would only be my opinion if I believed in the bible type of God. Which I don't.
Oneeyedvic - did I say they DESERVED it ???? I don't think so!

wizard69 - Before you call me stupid , you have missed the point ! Generous/friendly/cheerful refer to this present life and have no bearing on previous times on earth.
If you have a better explanation of why some people are (one way or the other) disabled in this life whilst others retain good health then please explain.
Everybody is entitled to their views. Just because you may not agree with my viewpoint ( which is plausible ) doesn't give you the right to call me all sorts of names.
Dassie - Well some people have genetic problems handed down to them. Cleft lip for example. I'm not sure but I think downs is caused by an extra chromosone. I'm sure one of the smarter ABers can clarify this sort of thing so I won't press on.

To imply that people have a disibility because their soul was bad in a previous life is really quite harsh and I hope that's not what you meant when you asked for a better explanation.

What about people who are in accidents who end up with a disibility? Or a terminal illness?
Dassie,
if you dont want to be called stupid then dont come out with stupid and offensive remarks.
And as for a better (and more rational) explanation, then I think that china doll has answered that for you.
China Doll and wizard69 - I'm not trying to upset anybody, but putting the idea forward as an explanation. Just think about it without blinkers for a minute.

Genetic problems are not necessarily handed down are they? My father never passed his on to me.

As for accidents and terminal illness, nobody says that their "Fate" if you want to call it that has to occur at birth or early in life. Indeed, often people who have had accidents are often referred to as "being in the wrong place at the wrong time". Ever wondered why? All I'm saying is I tend to keep my mind open to all options unlike some others.
Dassie....your mind is so open that reason simply passes through it...
Well wizard, instead of just criticising me and not entering into a constructive discussion, please tell me what reason YOU retain in your mind for all that happens.
luck of the draw...
And if you believe in God and his supreme power then who makes that draw??
