I have battled with the idea for years and have finally come to the conclusion that I most definitely believe in reincarnation. Anyone else, if so, any stories to tell in relation to? xx

I have no stories to tell I'm afraid but I do believe in re-incarnation. I just cannot believe that when you die that's it and I can't bring myself to believe in heaven and hell.
The problem is that anyone who reckons they have a story about re-incarnation always seems to have been a princess or member of the nobility and no-one has ever said they were Jack the Ripper or anything negative.
Personally I have always felt that I was around during WW1 and died in the trenches but I don't know why.

Hey, that's really intersting Bensmum. Got any more on that? I really urge you to read two books by the medium Tony Stockwell. Reading them was the turning point to making me firmly believe.
There's a part in one of them that talks about a woman that used to go to him for personal readings and she used to say that her 6 yr old daughter would often complain that "When I was your mummy, I'd let you.." (play out, watch tv, or whatever)
It turns out that we are all linked to our nearest and dearest but in different ways in different lifetimes, and after further investigation by Tony Stockwell, it turned out that the little girl had been her mother's mother in a previous lifetime. Fascinating if you ask me even if you don't believe!!

I've heard that reincarnation is making a comeback...
I believe in reincarnation. I remember my nan saying to my dad along time ago that i was a reincarnation of somebody who lived down ___ road. (she gave the street name).
Also i seem to have this short 2 or 3 second memory of skydiving, and looking over and seeing another person skydiving with me. Its the same memory and its been with me for a long time.
So reincarnation is species specific then?

Nobody recalls being a donkey in Turkey or a gerbil in a pet shop in Basildon. As Adam Ant said:

don't tread on an ant he's done nothing to you
there might come a day
when he's treading on you
don't tread on an ant you'll end up black and blue
you cut off his head
legs come looking for you
I sincerely hope that there is no reincarnation because the statistical probability, if there is, apalls me.
I was born into a very happy working-class childhood, in one of the world's most civilised countries, and am now a contented, middle-class fellow surrounded by fine friends and a loving family, with a fulfilling job and (no credit to me) a high intelligence which allows me to study all manner of fascinating subjects (with the country's best public library on hand to help).
The chance that I would be similarly fortunate in a replay is remote. A Chinese, Indian or South American peasant is much more likely. And I don't fancy working paddy-fields or tea-plantations.
I might even be born daft enough to become religious, for heaven's sake! Or , at least, superstitious enough to believe in daft things like reincarnation...
i can pretty much cause a horror story for people who believe in reincarnation......that means that when your child is born its really not your child but could be the soul of a pedophile who's done his time by coming back as a stone or whatever and then now is sitting in your belly waiting to be born? it might not be as extreme as that but you get my point.
i find the very notion that i am not me disgusting and i really encourage all otheres to stop thinking about fairies and other nonsense and start enjoying your life for what it is!
I believe in re-incarnation. As for babies (of all species), just remember there is a body and a soul. You create the body and the higher power provides the soul. Ask yourself this - what makes the difference between a "live" body and a "dead" body? The soul.
I don't believe in reincarnation
but my last life I did!!!!
Dassie,
Do you have any proof for the existance of a soul or a higher power?
"what makes the difference between a 'live' body and a 'dead' body?" errr, one doesn't function anymore, pretty much the same way that a broken down car doesn't.
Wizard.

When the people in hospital who are clinically dead recall how they were looking down on their own bodies until they are resuccitated. That's your soul leaving the body. And as for the difference, I am well aware one doesn't function anymore but the human body is totally different to a mechanically made item! Cars don't have dreams. People have minds You can have a disease but what actually switches the brain off?
. . . faith!

Ahhh, isn't ignorance bliss, all you non believers?? I do pity your poor young, immature souls. The Dalai Lama has a mature, ancient soul. You do the Maths.
I will give you my expert opinion, Its all a crock of sh1t!! to put it mildly!!

Hi loobylou how are you?
Absolute tripe in my opinion, it's something that people cling on to because they can't come to terms with mortality. When you're dead, you're dead and that's it. It's nature at it's finest - kill off the old useless organisms to make way for the new.

Forget about reincarnation and enjoy this life, live it to the max and make it count cause it's all the time you're going to get.

dassie i think you've misunderstood personality for soul?
i am how i am vecause of lots of signals getting sent around neural pathways in my brain. why cant people accept that everything you think and feel is a bunch of energy whizzing about your brain. Which of course there is scientific prrof for. Or you can believe that a deity can singlehandly create everyone and give them each their own personality? which by your own words meant that god created hitler and stalin and all pedophiles since he crafted their souls? tripe people tripe!
Dassie, are you saying that my 6 month old daughter could have been a Chihuahua called Mr Tibbles in a former life? Cool, must tell her that when shes older.
You should read this person's experience of Tony Stockwell

http://badpsychics.com/thefraudfiles/modules/n ews/article.php?*******=66

She's very upset about him - She says "Tony Stockwell is about as psychic as my dog".

It doesn't mean what you believe is untrue but I wouldn't base it on some TV psychic's book if I were you.
Must be a naughty word in there jake, it dont work.
