It's by no means the most homophobic thing I've read, but there is an insidiousness to it that I don't like. Part of me says he is getting into trouble because of an overly pedantic use of language, but since it's been pointed out to him how his words can be taken and he stands by them, I'm not sure.
It's a shame, because a lot of what he says is entirely sensible, though I'm not keen on the religious-style language personally.
