With the biblical God stating we are all sinners before we come out the womb; Hypothetically would total eradication of badness throughout the world remove the need for a God, to a certain extent ?

That's a good question Catron.
I think a sincere atheist is someone who will not hold religion or the belief in a God in their mind at all.
So that's not me.
An Agnostic is someone who thinks nothing is known or cannot be known of the existence of a God.
Sounds a little like an atheist to me, so that's a no,no for me too.
I hate labels or being labelled as a this or that.
Certain aspects of Animism seem quite inviting to my way of being. The story of the Biblical God in which ever guise or denomination to it's believers appears has been borrowed, twisted and added to to make it what people want to see with a backbone of your damned if you don't and your damned if you do running through the pieces I've read, so the God I would like to believe in is one purely of love.
That probably didn't answer your question but I gave it a go.
Luna - If you want to believe in a God who is purely love, then that is the God of the Bible. So many folks on here dismiss God because of the killing and so on in the Old Testament, but that was an illustration of gods' perfect justice, and a warning of the wrath to come, if we reject Him.

Snip! Snip! Snip!, hold on a minute, snip! snip!
Ah that's better, I was just cutting out all the nasty bits from my Bible and leaving only those passages that express love, as I would not want to upset him (God). You never know what he might do.
Question Author
Please excuse my last post everyone.
Sorry.
Luna, Perfectly illustrative . . . I'm just wondering if you would be able to paste together one page with what is left?
Luna and Mib, that would be a very interesting exercise. Anyone got the time, or the inclination, to do it?
Theland, A God who is purely love? God's perfect justice? He wiped out whole towns, and I presume that included all the innocent babies. How is that love - or justice?
Question Author
Naomi, Do you think he was singing, `All things bright and beautiful', at the same time?
Luna, maybe he was - but probably not half a well as you'd sing it with your fine baritone voice!
Question Author
How kind Naomi, I wouldn't call it a fine voice.
You know when dogs howl sometimes to people singing or playing music. Well if I had any goldfish at the time I chose to sing, they would be floating on the surface, plants would wither and any birds flying above would instantly migrate.
But I still try :0)
Too modest by far, my dear Luny, I'm sure - but if the voice really is that bad, an accompanying burst on the spoons no doubt hides a multitude of missed notes.
Question Author
No it's not that bad really but just in case others don't approve, I'll bring some more cutlery.
