If the catholic church suddenly found irrefutable proof of alien life do you think they would let on?

When I was at school my religious education teacher asked me if I'd ever thought of becoming a priest (seriously).
I replied, "No".
I was too interested in thinking about aliens coming from other worlds and the true origin of a God represented wrongly on this planet.
I told others I thought God was an alien or being from another world. Needless to say, I had very few true friends at that time.

Teddio and Luna That's music to my ears. It seems such an obvious solution to all the myths, and to all the amazing ancient structures on this earth, I wonder why more people don't seriously consider it possible.
