If you have been introduced to The Bible or other form of religious following after many upsets or problems filling your life and then circumstances started to change for the better, would you attribute the change to the book,the belief, positive thinking on your own or other elements that may have changed your view and could you specifically define the reason for the turning point in your life?
Sorry, I'm sure that's more than one question.

Oh yeah Theland; X-factor was always a beacon of hope for me, knowing my voice and playing of spoons but Dancing On Ice?
The nearest I've been to that is falling on ice or when I was a nipper, skidded while holding my Mother's hand and zipped through her legs which caused her to fall over aswell.
Oh! What memories:0)
I don't see it as weak, having faith I mean. If it gets you through adn keeps you on the straight and narrow then far be it from me to criticise.

What I don't like is having beliefs inflicted on me or any form of extremism particularly... but loving your neighbour and all that, well it doesn't seem such a bad thing. (Adultery aside).

If a religion or certain beliefs within a religion are forced upon anyone then surely it is a contradiction in itself.
I thought all religious teachings were ultimately to express peace and love.
Christian duty is to tell others about Jesus Christ, not to stuff it down anybodys' throat, and if they reject the message, then that's their business, and we part as friends.
Where's Theland gone? I'm sure I had something to reply to his post!

i choose

i chose to be born, to live or die,
Even the sex, that would be i;
i chose the race, from which to appear,
Also my wealth, my health and my fear.

i chose my trials and stumbling blocks,
And the legs i would use, in all of those walks;
i chose my sadness, my joy and my love,
i chose to serve and not be above.

i chose this life with all of its dues,
And with each dawn, again i choose;
The experiences for me that wait ahead,
To be alive, or be claimed dead.

And of the future lives i've yet,
It is my choice that i begat;
All the things, however pleasin',
That shall befall me in those seasons.

From my chosen path i stray,
Yet my God ne'er turns away;
For i have learned -- and understand,
That where God is -- is where i am!
