"Sunday School," - muslim Style

When Christians send their kids to Sunday School, they learn Bible stories, say a prayer and sing, "Jesus Wants Me For A Sunbeam."
The muslims certainly know how to spice things up a bit for their youngsters.

i've attended both Christian and Muslim Sunday Schools and they are basically the same with the exception one teaches the Holy Bible and the other the Holy Quran. i was born in a Muslim home but as i grew older i converted to Christianity. i can read and write Arabic, and read Urdu but I love Jesus.
oh, and by the way, i attended school in a convent where i got all the rich catholic teachings.

Waldo - on descendents, I agree with you and I believe it is the cultural or language difference. Where I am from there it is usually believed that your family (descendents) is through male. Because female goes to other family where she gets married. I am sure Henry the 5th or 6th whoever he was, he was thinking about the same when he married so many women one after another. Because he was worried about his throne. But of course even girls are your children as well, and I did not deny that if I came across like that. In the end you know English is not my first language so I can be excused for these minor misunderstandings.

I am Muslim but I am sure I love Jesus (pbuh) more than Christians. You do not have to be Christian or Muslim to Love Jesus (pbuh). To love someone you have to do what they tell you to do. And I am sure Muslims are doing more what Jesus (pbuh) said.

Of course you can be excused, but equally, you must understand that if you intend one thing but people take it to mean another, perhaps it is your English causing the confusion. .Chaterbox - Having said what I said, If you love all the prophets then you are surely not Christians. Because only Muslims accept and love all the prophets from Adam (pbuh) to Muhammad (pbuh), first and the last and all in between. Christians do not believe in Muhammad (pbuh) nor do Jews in Jesus (pbuh) and Muhammad (pbuh). If in doubt then ask Theland. And sorry if you felt I twisted your words, because I do not do that. I just wanted explanation.

Keyplus, no disrespect but are you that ignorant or naive?
Christianity also teaches love; the Holy Bible teaches one to love their brother as they love them self. Put religion aside, I love everyone regardless or race, colour or creed. It's my morality, and the right thing to do in my eyes.

The other interesting group are the Baha'is

Most Muslems would see them as Heretics.

They were founded in the 19th Century and emphasise the "spiritual oneness of mankind" .

They believe that there is an element of truth in all major religions but it sprang from Shia Islam.

However they don't believe in a final prophet which kind of puts them on a collision course with Islam.


I must say though were I inclined to be religious I'd find them an attractive group

There were quite a few people who claimed to be prophets after Muhammed (pbuh). Most of them demised soon after and few managed to get few followers. Most of them are not regarded Muslims as they have gone against the fundamentals of Islamic faith. The finality of Muhammed (pbuh) as messenger is one of these essentials. In Islamic world any of these factions who differ in the basic teachings of Islam are not considered Muslims at all. But of course world media and especially western media shows them as section of Islam. For example Ahmedi's are another and recently there was one in America somewhere. But as I said they are not considered Muslims by the main stream Islamic scholars.
