Why do they usually have a 'native american' spirit guide ?
Derren Brown did an absolutely brilliant clairvoyant act on a show in USA. The people he spoke to were amazed, moved, distraught and utterly credulous....................after the show, he spoke to them all individually off camera and explained exactly how he had done it...........

While the vast majority are frauds there are genuinely gifted people. However the nature of clairvoyance leads to vague interpretation of some visions.
Responsible clairvoyants don't say things that would freak you out because they understand the vagaries involved. Don't wait for things to happen because their interpretation could have been misconstrued.

Cor, I've always wondered about Atlantis, R1Geezer. Could you ask her to find out where it was located? :o)
I agree with Beso. There are some people who do seem to have a certain ability, but they are rare. Most are frauds and in it for the money - and they generalise, prodding for a glimmer of something from you to lead them onto the right track. They'll start off by saying something like 'you have had problems in your life'. Well, haven't we all?
I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for these things to happen.

my sister is clairvoyant and a reiki healer and I trust her. She's been able to say stuff to me that she didn't even know about.
I guess it all depends on what experiences people have to how it affects their opinion.
I've had a healer coming once a week and he doesn't charge anything, so can't be because he's trying to get money out of me.

I think a lot of them are frauds.. but there is one I used to go to years ago who wasnt!!! I cant explain how he knew what he knew but he did - and was so very detailed!!! AND he was FREE!!! He didn't charge.. was religious and felt that if people needed to come to him they should be able to do so regardless of their wealth! All he asked for was a 'donation' for those that wanted to or could...
Went to him over several years and couldn't believe my ears! He even knew that my Husbands 'father' is not his real father and the real one came through during the reading... We only found ourselves out the previous week that his 'father' wasnt his father!!!!

Well Tom you may not be a believer.. a lot of men aren't... but on one occasion he was so incredibly specific about an event where someone had been injured (but in quite a funny way!) that it brought goosebumps to me!!!
I also do believe strongly in the afterlife as I have heard things that cannot be explained either...
Each to their own! We'll all find out one day for sure eh!

I must admit, I once met one who impressed me. He was the manager of a pub we'd never been to before, and which was a very long way from our home. He just came to our table and said 'I have something to tell you'. He said a lot about my grandmother, who died before I was born, and none of it made any sense at all to me. In fact I thought it quite amusing because it was all such gobbledegook. However, when I went home and asked my father if any of it meant anything to him, he was absolutely astonished and understood it all completely. This man didn't do it for a living, he didn't do readings, and neither was he religious - but he certainly knew more about my ancestors than I did - and he told me things - specific and unusual things - that he couldn't possibly have gleaned from me, because I didn't know about them. Me being me, I needed to know how this worked, and he told me there's nothing mysterious about it at all. He said some people have the ability to tune their minds, and it's just like tuning a radio. Now I know you're going to poo poo this, Chakka, old chap - but so be it. That's what happened, and I have no logical explanation for it other than to say that some people do possess abilities that the rest of us don't.
Nosha, what's sex got to do with it?
People say they believe in clairvoyance or an afterlife or some such because they've heard things that "can't be explained". Setting aside the fact that what they really mean is that THEY haven't been able to find an explanation for them, why must we go from, "This is inexplicable to me" to "It must be evidence for clairvoyance/the afterlife"?
If it's truly inexplicable, let it remain so until it is explained - remembering of course that you don't explain an incident you don't understand by saying it's an example of a phenomenon that nobody understands.

I met a man once and he told me that he would like to tell me about my future. I told me that I would not be interested to know as it only brings worries. Any way to convince me into it he asked me to think about any four legged animal, and before that gave a small slip in my hand. I said elephant, he said open and see what is written on the piece of paper. It was elephant. OK could be fluke. Then he gave me another piece of paper and asked me the number of my brothers and sisters. I told him and he asked me to open and look at the paper. It was exactly that. I told him that I respected his knowledge but still do not wish to know about my future.
Yes, so I believe that there are people who have knowledge or god gifted ability, but many are just illusionists.

Hi Tom, If we don't know how something works, we can only theorise, but in doing that we should take all the available evidence into consideration. We have no solid proof that the soul survives death, but if clairvoyants profess to receive messages from the dead, and people believe them, then it follows that they will relate this to the existence of an afterlife.
