Incidentally, Dave, I've read the Koran but I can't recall what it says (if anything) about the coldness of space. Perhaps Keyplus will be kind enough to give us the references to check. There are in existence, however, far more ancient reports, some over 4000 years old, that give descriptions of space, including its extremes in temperature, so even if the Koran does include such information, it certainly wasn't a new idea.

I like when people pick on words and try to ascertain the meanings they would rather have.

16:33 I am not really sure who is arrogant. Because if for example a religious book tells you that it is extremely cold in outer space
Very clearly it says example and has been used here hypothetically.
Waldo I do love the way you try imposing yourself answering a call for help. Personally I do not have time to go through what Galen has written and if it is exactly similar to what Quran has to say. Well I do love internet which helps people sometimes. Seems like someone else has done intensive work so instead of writing long answer I would rather give this link which explains not only Galens work but of a good number of others. So help yourself. Its that simple.

Oh, so the Koran doesn't say it's cold in space, Keyplus? A misunderstanding then.
An illuminating link by the way. The author has certainly worked hard. Pity all his explanations aren't actually included in Islamic literature. Nothing like trying to make the facts fit.
Shame about things like this though:
Then we made the passage (through the birth canal) easy. Really? That'll be news to women.
And
"When forty-two nights have passed over the "drops" Allah sends an angel to it' who shapes it and makes its ears, eyes, skin, flesh and bones. Then he says, 0! Lord, is it male or female? and your Lord decides and the angel records it".
Science at its finest!

Keyplus yet again an example of your total duplicity.
You cannot use something that doesn't exist i.e "a religious book that says its cold in space" as an example of belief.
The ONLY reason its know that outer space is cold is because of science so in what way does your "example" help your argument.
It is totaly irrelevant why don't you use actual; examples of "science" from religious books? Its because you know it is totaly unsupportable so you use irrelevance to try and win the unwinnable.
But you never question your book.

Keyplus said; "Personally, I am not prepared to actually bother to read something lest I actually learn something and am forced to engaged with elementary concepts such as "compare and contrast", but here's a load of really unconvincing apologetics that wouldn't fool anyone but an idiot. I believe it is telling the truth.
"Don't worry - I'll be posting all this tosh again in a few months and praying like mad that that terrible man McFroog won't notice and post all those inconvenient facts like he normally does. Damn him! Damn his eyes!
There - fixed that for you.

Quran talks about the cold in outer space or does not. I can't say at this moment. But one thing Quran does speak about is life on other planets, when science would admit or prove that in years to come then someone might say <Greeks knew about that.
But I know, when people cannot think of a proper answer then as a last resort they do pick on anything they could. Its like when someone beats you up and you cannot do anything as he may hurt you again. So you go there at night and hit the wall of his house and take revenge. After all that is the best you could have done.
Waldo. I was expecting something better than that from you. You did not give any comments about that link. You want to hear from me in my words rather than from more informed people. After all it is an internet website where people appear with all the dodgy names so they are more interested in proving a point than accepting the truth. Like I said before, if you think you are the most knowledgeable and it is all self produced. Then come out of your attic and be known to the world. Why don't you? After all you would love to correct others. Wouldnt you. Or
You just can't. As you have your stage and your audience. So keep playing in your breakfast bowl and keep pretending to be one and only. There are oceans out there. So I want to see a big book written or a live debate with people who you think are wrong. Title of that should read like, I am the same known as Waldo on AB. After all you have to let people know about how they know you.
And finally, yes dont worry about,

I am sure you cant deter me like that.

Oh dear, hes ignored me again, except in his usual not-so-subtle innuendo. Is it coz Is a woman, dya think?
Keyplus, I hate to tell you this (err no I dont) but long before the advent of Islam, the ancient Greeks DID talk about life on other planets, as did the Sumerians before them, and several other ancient civilizations in between - and that is a proper answer, so stop kidding yourself and research it if you dare. But you dont dare, do you? No, of course you dont - and your supposedly valuable time has absolutely nothing to do with it. Maybe you should stop digging the hole, because youre sinking further and further into it.
Keyplus, tell me. Why do you have this thing about wanting to know who people here really are? And I would like an answer to that, if you please. This forum allows people to remain anonymous, and so it should. A little while ago you said you look at women in the street and wonder if theyre me - in fact you admitted it had become an obsession with you. And what youre now saying to Waldo youve said more than once to Birdie - who also ties your arguments up in knots. Its all pretty creepy, Keyplus.
Waldo, Im so sorry, but although Dave made a very valiant effort on your behalf, you didnt win the prize. Common sense, a propensity to acknowledge reality, and a willingness to learn and to educate oneself, lose you points, Im afraid. Now if you really wanted to seriously contest the accolade for the title of Most Openly Insulting Person here, youd have to advise me, at the very least, to try wearing a burka, whilst giving me every assurance that my husband would still love me. And boy, would I be grateful for that assurance! And so I should. I know my place! (And if anyone believes that, theyll believe anything). :o)

That sounds like a sigh of relief to me. I do have answers and once again not what you would be satisfied with, why? because you are determined to think otherwise. As usual I never claim to be Mr know all. But would you like to elaborate on Greeks and life on other planets bit.
Did Greeks talk about it as a mere possibility or a fact? As far as Islam is concerned, Quran talks about it as a fact just like Quran talks about other things as facts that are still not proved scientifically.

Please explain in what way my identity affects what Galen wrote about embryology and whether this can reasonably be said to be the source of the embryology ideas as written in the Koran?
You have attempted this line of argument before (some sort of weird twist on the argument from authority fallacy), and it made no sense then either. If it turns out that I'm a fabulously well-known embryology researcher (I'm not sure such a thing exists), would that somehow make a comparison of two sets of information easier? If it turns out I'm a complete nobody, does that conversely make it harder to carry out the comparison? Please explain how and why my username affects the contents of two historic documents?
I am unable to determine how it would make any difference, but I'm happy to be disabused of my notion.
By the way, have you managed to find any credible sources that support the Koran's stated belief that sperm is produced halfway up the back between the kidneys? Since the Koran is apparently inerrant, and the human reproductive system is well understood, this shouldn't present a major challenge.
As for whether I might believe that pointing out that you're wrong might deter you, I am under no illusions.
This is Waldo McFroog, anonymous megastar of a tiny section of a niche website, the one, the only, king of the breakfast bowl (did anyone understand that comment?), more interested in playing to the crowd than the truth, signing off. My personal assistant, Mr Keyplus - don't slouch, man - is on hand to brush off any nutters with a signed photo and a Werther's Original. You may send your flowers, recreational powders and easily-impressed nymphomaniacs to my attic dressing room.
Thank you, dahlings... mwah! mwah!

A sigh of relief? Haaaaa! How funny! Is that the best you can do? That's either wishful thinking, or you're hallucinating again, Keyplus.
just like Quran talks about other things as facts that are still not proved scientifically.
Incredible. Can you really not see what a ridiculous statement that is? How can you bear to be so completely ignorant of anything except Islam? According to you, if Islam says it, it must be true - even though you've been given proof that it clearly isn't. You don't even bother to investigate! The thought of totally abandoning my intellect, as you have, would scare the hell(?) out of me. Your mindset is truly alarming.
And Keyplus, it really isn't necessary for you to write half your posts in bold print - I don't think any of us are blind.
