This date just crops up because it's the end of the Mayan Calendar cycle.

Believing the world will end then is like believing the world will end when we reach the end of the cycle being used to generate car number plates!

Does anybody believe it will end then? Well I don't see anybody selling their life's savings to go on a 3 year bender yet do you?
