I very much doubt that there is a god and it seems to me even less likely that there are more than one because I cannot imagine he/she/it would hide the evidence so comprehensively to let people debate, argue, fight (far too often violently) ad infinitum as to what he/she/it wants. I am an gnostic who believes that should there be a god then he/she/it would have at least some respect for me having given the matter serious thought and ultimately refused to bet on any particular horse in the race to be the club that secured salvation while all others are the losers (how grubby a concept !). In fact, I rather hope there is a god because then the truth may be revealed sometime, at which moment I hope it would be revealed to all, past and present at the same instant. That is the microsecond at which I would love to see the looks on all the religious pundits' faces when, as I believe, it will dawn on them that they were way off the mark, not remotely close. Everyone is entitled to their belief/guess, but has no right to foist it on others to attract "votes" on what is "correct". By all means foster healthy debate, discussion, etc. but don't be upset if people disagree with you - accept that they have the same right to their opinions, it's called being open minded and tolerant.
