Are Hospitals going against god?

Just wondering allowed as usual. But if god made everything he made all the diseases and made people be born with illness' Are doctors going to hell for undoing his good work?

Everytime a doctor cures someone of an illness is that them 'undoing' what god wanted?

Hardly. I could rob a bank and blame it on God because he "made me that way".

No, God created disease and he created cure and given few people knowledge of that. Doctors are doing a good work. One thing a doctor can't do is saving someone from death when the time is over. As far as disease is concerned, that is with the human life to show the fragility and incompleteness of this life. And to remind people that what they might be proud of (beauty, health, power and so on) is temporary.

YOU choose to Rob a bank! and that is nothing to do with god creating a virus that can be cured by man.
Thats completely different from a baby being cured of an illness by a doctor that wasnt forced by god to perform the operation.
in my scenario the child had no choice in being cured. But has the doctor gone against what god wanted?

If you believe anything that is written in the bible we are all going to hell anyway and most of us should have been stoned to death along time ago . Why do we even need Dr's does this comical God just want us all to suffer and if so, why? its all just Easter Bunnies and Hocus Pocus mate lol, dont waste to much thought power on this.

Well, if God made everything, then it follows that he also gave doctors the ability to cure illness, so I can't see how they can go to hell for that - but then we can't be sure because the rules do vary from religion to religion. I imagine those doctors who give blood transfusions to Jehovah's Witnesses' children against their parents' wishes will go to hell, but I doubt they'll be sentenced to the same punishment for treating the children of other religions.

I was going to ask why God made disease in the first place, but Keyplus has already answered that. It's God's way of doing us a favour by demonstrating our fragility and reminding us of the futility of earthly pride - and of course every baby born to suffer with terrible God-made diseases will be aware of that and will no doubt be very grateful for the lesson - as will their parents. Good old God! What a caring, compassionate guy he is!

The efforts to explain, in terms of "God's Will" those things which, if anything, present good evidence of the complete absence of a God ...

disease, disfigurement, hatred, natural disaster, etc.

One has to wonder why God created Africans at all, if all he was going to do was starve them, torture them with diseases, and kill them off painfully.

It seems a bit mean.

Maybe the Bible should not tech that "God loves us all" but, rather ...

... "God loves everyone except Africans".

Tut Jayne. Get it right dear. Africans are the really lucky ones because God is doing them a favour by demonstrating their fragility. See? Crickey! A good good proportion of them starve to death and, depending upon their religion, might even go to heaven. How lucky is that? ;o)

Islowry, I think Sherminator is well aware there is no God - but that, quite rightly, doesn't stop him from investigating other people's beliefs. I do the same myself - frequently. :o)

You are talking about Africans, there might be someone right next door to yourself who may not have enough to fill his/her tummy. What did you do for him/her.

Same way there is enough food, water, air medicine for the whole world. It is just the distribution. God has given Food and water in human hand and you see what is happening. I believe that one day's food dumped in the bin in a country like USA can take care of the months if not the years of hunger of Africans or any other. Now it is upto us human and the religion I believe in says that if your neighbour sleeps hungey and you with full tummy (not talking about the one in the bin yet) then God will ask you about that on the day of judgement.

Third thing Air has not been given in human control so you don't see complaint.

What I said in the above post is just one side of it. Of course then there are political, financial, geographical and other reason that why few countries are benefiting from the sources of few other countries and are eating so much that they have problems known as OBESITY. Whereas the people in the countries they re benefitting from do not have even enough to feed their hungry children.Who do you blame for that human like me and you or God?

How can any sane thinking man/woman even consider following this God, or is it because he "apparently" said" follow my Son or you will all live for eternity in hell" does that bother you?

Does he really need to threaten people like that to get them to follow him? Follow me or I will kill you, is that really the words of a great leader?

Keyplus, but God knows humans aren't very nice - he gave them free will - so wouldn't you think if he cared about the kind of human suffering that the sufferers can do nothing about, he'd cause food to grow naturally in Africa? I mean, take Sri Lanka, for example. Food is so plentiful, a man could survive there on no money at all, so why not Africa?

How come God gets the praise for the good and is exonerated for the bad?

"God" takes the praise for the good, and blames others for the bad.

He'd be great as a Prime Minister.

But how can we be sure it's not the other way round?

Maybe the nice bits in the world are a results of Man's goodness ...

... and the bad bits are are caused by God's malicious nature.

Maybe those people who go to "Heaven" will spend all eternity as victims of a mischievous God who has lured them there for his own amusement.

Maybe God has been pulling a huge, mean, con trick on all of us.

And maybe THAT'S why he flew off the handle, and had such a total mardy, when Adam ate from the tree of knowledge ...

If there is a God then it could be argued that God didn't FORCE the doctor to heal the child, but he gave the doctor the skill to be learned to overcome the challenge God had set. For whatever reason.

Actually, I've thought that many times - that God is pulling a great con trick I mean. Look at it honestly. Who is the bad guy in all of this. The one we believe to be the Devil? No. God's the mass slaughterer (Bible score: God approx two and a half million, the Devil, ten), God lays down the impossible rules, God demands unswerving adoration, God is jealous and vindictive and cruel - in fact God possesses the very worst attributes of man. It's said the Devil plays tricks so what if this really is the greatest lie ever told in more ways than one - and God is in fact the Devil in fancy dress? (Mibs reckons the Devil wrote the Bible - perhaps he's right!).
