Has anyone read any books by the above? if so what did you make of them. Also has anyone been to any of his talks? What do you think of his theories. I expect some stupid answers but need to put the cat amongst the pigeons (so to speak).

I've read some of his stuff too, and I've seen him being interviewed several times, but I don't know what to make of him either. He's by no means an unintelligent man, and there are moments when he seems quite lucid - but when he talks about his famous reptilians he gives the impression that he's lost the plot completely - and actually, I think he has.

For anyone interested in reading more, here's a link to his website.

What do you make of him Eastender - and why do you 'need' to put the cat amongst the pigeons?

Probably a reflection of the fact that no one takes Icke seriously enough for anyone to be damaged by his allegations, Wiz. It costs a lot of money to sue someone for libel, and the only winners are lawyers (check out Simon Singh's recent libel case against the British Chirorpractic Association for some indiciation of the possible costs).

The things that Icke says that are true are better reported by others, the stuff he says which isn't true is better said by no one.
I've never read any of his books but I went to one of his talks once out of curiosity.

I found it to be a rambling mish mash of every conspiracy theory and piece of new age nonsense you could think of. As Naomi says, quite lucidly delivered at times, but basically barking mad.
he watched the Matrix and it wrecked his head - he believes it to be true.

Mebbe tis...?
What kind of mental illness might he be suffering from? He must had had some degree of sense at one stage.
Everyone thought he was barking years ago when he first started on about alien life forms etc, (wearing a lovely turquoise shell suit at the time if I remember rightly). The fact that he is still saying these things makes me wonder how/why he still believes in what he is saying. I haven't read any of his books but someone must be buying into his theory.
Gran, I think you'll find he might still be wearing that shellsuit. ;o)

Eastender, are you going to tell us why you 'need' to put the cat amongst the pigeons? This is intriguing.
quite a good goalkeeper - used to play for Hereford
Eastender, are you ever coming back?
It's often been said that there's a fine line between genius and madness. I think Mr Icke has juuuuuuust crossed it.
All I know about David Icke is he rides a bike and John Kettley, John Kettley, JOHN KETTLEY.....he's a weatherman.
