Deuteronomy 1:39– This passage says that God judges the children of Israel, promising that no one of that "evil generation" will enter the Promised Land. Yet He explicitly exempts the "little ones" from the judgment given their parents. He declares that the "children who do not yet know good from bad—they will enter the land. I will give it to them and they will take possession of it".
2 Samuel 12:21-23– Here, King David is encouraged in the knowledge that, when he dies, he will be reunited with his recently deceased baby boy. The assurance that his son went into the presence of God (where David too will one day go) is decisive evidence for God extending mercy to babies. (Reference: Good News Today)
Further, a prophecy from the Book of Isaiah about Messiah Yeshua states: [Isa 7:16]:
"But before the boy [Jesus] knows enough to reject the wrong and choose the right the land of the two kings you dread will be laid waste", which implies there's an age of accountability, which, thankfully, no one knows.
From the New Covenant in Matthew 19:13 Then little children were brought to Him that He might put His hands on them and pray, but the disciples rebuked them. But Jesus said, "Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven."
The concept of salvation is that Yahweh is both a just and merciful God and would not condemn the one that cannot comprehend the salvation message. This includes children and mentally incompetent, in my opinion.
In Ecclesiastes Chapter 3, Solomon writes "Who (God) knows the spirit of the sons of men, which goes upward, and the spirit of the animal, which goes down to the earth?
Fact is, directly speaking the Scriptures are silent on the fate of animals and heaven. Ho

Only 144,000 PEOPLE have the privilege of a heavenly future...
(Revelation 7:4) And I heard the number of those who were sealed, a hundred and forty-four thousand, sealed out of every tribe of the sons of Israel:
(Revelation 14:1) And I saw, and, look! the Lamb standing upon the Mount Zion, and with him a hundred and forty-four thousand having his name and the name of his Father written on their foreheads.
They are chosen to be " kings and priests" to assist Jesus with the judgement...
Revelation 20; 12,13
They are also known as Jesus' " little flock"...and all have been chosen SINCE Jesus was on the earth...
Others who are fully obedient to Jesus, being in full agreement with this small group, are known as the " great crowd" and have an earthl;y future...
(Revelation 7:9) After these things I saw, and, look! a great crowd, which no man was able to number, out of all nations and tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, dressed in white robes; and there were palm branches in their hands.
This second group does not include every person on the earth...certainly not the wicked.
So the belief that everyone who dies goes to heaven is scripturally wrong.

Hi Clanad...about your quote.." In Ecclesiastes Chapter 3, Solomon writes "Who (God) knows the spirit of the sons of men, which goes upward, and the spirit of the animal, which goes down to the earth?"...
Not so...
(Ecclesiastes 3:19) For there is an eventuality as respects the sons of mankind and an eventuality as respects the beast, and they have the same eventuality. As the one dies, so the other dies; and they all have but one spirit, so that there is no superiority of the man over the beast, for everything is vanity.
that 'spirit' is not our personality, but is the force that makes every living thing move...when we die, that force goes back to God. Even an ant has that force...but could you say an ant has a separate personality that can haunt houses..? which is what is being said when false religion changed 'spirit' to 'ghost'...
When we die we cease to exist in any form...but we are REMEMBERED by God who has the power to resurrect us [ Revelation 20; 12,13] which means...a standing up...
which in turn means we are given NEW bodies to continue life breathing air on the earth...
this is supported by
(Psalm 37:9) For evildoers themselves will be cut off, But those hoping in Jehovah are the ones that will possess the earth.
(Psalm 37:11) But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth, And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.
(Psalm 37:29) The righteous themselves will possess the earth, And they will reside forever upon it.
(Psalm 37:34) Hope in Jehovah and keep his way, And he will exalt you to take possession of the earth. When the wicked ones are cut off, you will see [it].
These are the ones, after resurrectiomn, that agree to obey God's laws...many who are resurrected will refuse and must suffer the penalty...
Example...hitler, mussolini, and that other bloke who is ANTI-God...name escapes me.
give this all some

As Frank Zappa once said...
Whoever we are
Wherever we're from
We shoulda noticed by now
Our behavior is dumb
And if our chances
Expect to improve
It's gonna take a lot more
Than tryin' to remove
The other race
Or the other whatever
From the face
Of the planet altogether
They call it THE EARTH
Which is a dumb kinda name
But they named it right
'Cause we behave the same...
We are dumb all over
Dumb all over,
Yes we are
Dumb all over,
Near'n far
Dumb all over
Black 'n white
People, we is not wrapped tight
Nurds on the left
Nurds on the right
Religious fanatics
On the air every night
Sayin' the Bible
Tells the story
Makes the details
Sound real gory
'Bout what to do
If the geeks over there
Don't believe in the book
We got over here
You can't run a race
Without no feet
'N pretty soon
There won't be no street
For dummies to jog on
Or doggies to dog on
Religious fanatics
Can make it be all gone
(I mean it won't blow up
'N disappear
It'll just look ugly
For a thousand years...)
You can't run a country
By a book of religion
Not by a heap
Or a lump or a smidgeon
Of foolish rules
Of ancient date
Designed to make
You all feel great
While you fold, spindle
And mutilate
Those unbelievers
From a neighboring state
TO ARMS! TO ARMS!
Hooray! That's great
Two legs ain't bad
Unless there's a crate
They ship the parts
To mama in
For souvenirs: two ears (Get down!)
Not his, not hers (but what the hey?)
The Good Book says:
"It's gotta be that way!"
But their book says:
"REVENGE THE CRUSADES. . .
With whips 'n chains
'N hand grenades. . .
