Vaguely ignorant to the politically correct maybe, or even vaguely humorous to those to whom political correctness is a nonsense, but certainly not vaguely racist. Religion doesn't equate to race.

Answer.. racism is to do with something that we have no power to alter.. like our race, various other unalterable traits have been included under the same catch all word.
A person has complete responsibility for the religion he or she espouses as we are all free to choose our religion( unless you are unfortunate enough to have been enrolled into a very nasty one by your parents and will be killed if you try to leave).
