Caller asked if I had received £500.00 voucher which had been sent to me.Scottish voice asked for me by name. Any other people had the same call. I put the phone down after saying I didn t know what he was talking about.

It might not be a 'scam', per se. It could simply be a sales ploy. (e.g. either you really should have received a £500 voucher or they'd be happy to send you one. However it's for £500 off the cost of solar panels, or similar, which are over-priced by at least £500 to start with).
Clue, If it was sent to you, why did the person ask for your name?
Opps, asked for you by name.
I got a call on the land line saying I had got a text like you put the phone down how could that be and I was gonna give them my bank details too
Weecalf, don't take this the wrong way & I'm sure you will not, never ever give your bank details to anyone, unless you know the nature of the call.

I think weecalf might just have been joking!
