'callblocker Services'
7 Answers
Does anyone have any dealings with this company? It seems they cold called my 81 year old mother who lives alone, and persuaded her to buy a callblocking device. She has no memory of the call although she wrote brief details down. I've checked her bank account and £99.99 has gone out to 'Met Technologies'. I also have a phone number for 'Callblocker Services', but have chosen to send a email to Met technologies (the box that appeared came with no packaging other than the plain white box it came in) asking if they cold called her and saying the box is not fit for purpose.
It's very uncharacteristic of my mother to give out bank details over the phone, and I'm very angry that she's been taken advantage of. If anyone else has experience or advice I'd be pleased to hear it, thanks.

The guy running it appears to be Shaun Robert Matthews. That's based upon his former directorship of a dissolved company called SafeguardUK Ltd:

(Interestingly, the nature of that business was listed as 'Activities of call centres').

Thanks Buenchico. I'm not sure where we stand, as she must have actually given her card details to them though she has no memory of it. She can't remember how she got the box - the only way is either the postman handed it to her or possibly it was delivered through the catflap. She has no idea how to use the box, and reading through the badly translated manual, I think I d struggle myself even though I'm reasonably tech savvy. If she gave her card details does that mean she consented to getting the device?
I'll look into your links thanks, if I don't get any answer from Met Technologies.
