This is a pop up scam that is occurring more often. I was on an American site looking at weather prediction models and a message popped up that took over the whole screen and could not be closed. It says that Microsoft has detected a 'porn' virus on your computer and will cause damage if you do not call the number provided and states that the call is 'free tarif'(sic). Do not call the number it is a scam. It warns you not to shut down your computer or you will cause permanent damage, that is not so. The problem is getting rid of it. I did a system restore to last Saturday and then did the Microsoft upgrade that I had deleted. It affects all systems and browsers. It also identifies itself as DROIDBOTPORN9007QD1 on some systems. It appears to occur quite often on video streaming sites. The link provided gives some tips on its removal.

For the record I am running the new edge browser and defender. I did a quick scan and defender was saying all was ok. I logged out and opened up another account that is running on the pc for my other half and it was not there. So I shut down and booted up again using my account. Still there. I was still able to use the computer but it was still there in a tab that could not be closed or cleared. System restore seems to have cleared it, but I will run a full scan later whilst I am out.
