Junk Email

I get lots of spam/junk email every day, on 3 addresses, I always delete them instantly. Really annoying, getting several each day addressing me as Thaddeus!!!! These can be financial or sex related! My name is nothing like Thaddeus! How the hell does this happen? Any thougts would be very welcome.

If it's in your spam folder, just ignore it. It will be deleted eventually.

You've probably unsubscribed from an unscrupulous spam email, which will have exactly the opposite effect! Now the spammer knows your email is live and genuine, so will have sold it to or traded it with other spammers.

Who's your email provider and what software do you use to collect your email?

I am a mac user but recently decided to get windows to use a specific piece of software...its all I ever do through windows and the only windows facilities who have had my email address are Microsoft and Corel. Before registering Windows, I got very little spam; since registering with Windows and Corel, it has increased more than tenfold.
