Because I told the 'lady' that she was not from BT and that Hackers had Not got at my Computer, she said, so that you know I am serious, I am going to disconnect your broadband immediately. I said go ahead and do that.

She 's certainly taking a long time, because the telephone call was at about 09.30 this morning.

Sorry danny, I appear to have hit a wrong key and inadvertently posted with only a title.

Hans
Hans, why don't you just block the number?
looks like she managed to remove the post where you explained what happened. Clever lady, must be Queen of the Internet
/// I appear to have hit a wrong key ///

Perhaps your Broadband was disconnected - LOL.
Dannyk, Shirley, who frequently issues threat to us, seems to be on a different phone number each time.
Are you going to post about every scam call you get?
I blocked the number after the third call and haven't any from them since.Maybe I am just lucky.

@ummmm12.19........Perhaps yes. My posting may be of interest and assistance to some ABers; even if you find them boring.

@dannyk13......The amount of scam calls I get nowadays is very few and blocking them is almost pointless, because the callers often refrain from their numbers being identified.

G'morning emmie....The way the scam works could be as follows.

The caller will tell you that, if you call-up with your browser a particular site, he/she will be able be to show on screen the fault/s in your Computer and when you see the itemised 'Fictitious faults' you will be assured that for a small fee you can have matters corrected.

Some folk then fall for the scam and pass out to the caller their Bank Card details. It's then possible for the Bank Account to be emptied.

Hans.
