Ebay Question

Is this a scam ? Ive had two full offers on two different items im selling. The requests are coming from Malaysia area. The buyer has only joined ebay and has no history. They ask me to WhatsApp them and give me a number. I refrained but sent a message to say I won't do that. The first buyer then retracted the offer. I'm just holding off on acceptance of the 2 buyer at present.
