A New Scam?

Had a call today from an automated David Attenborough soundalike spieling on about Brexit affecting the planet etc and asking me to press 2 if I wanted more info. I eventually hung up. Ha anybody else had similar? Or was I over-suspicious?

My BT call blocker phone blocks calls.

If I do get a call it only rings once then deals with the caller. I then look up the number - its usually washing machine guarantee scam.

If you have the number just google it and see what comes up.

Doesn't sound like the sort of thing David Attenborough would knowingly be involved in. I suspect you would have been asked for your bank details.
