Suddenly Started Receiving Lots Of Spam In My Hotmail Inbox
4 Answers
Hi guys!
I hope you can help me. I switched my phone on today and saw that I have over 15 emails in my Hotmail inbox. Now, I know I don't usually get that many overnight (usually around 2 emails lol). Anyway, so I take a look in the inbox and see that all the emails in my inbox are junk. A lot I recognise cos I usually receive them in my junk inbox as I regularly clean my junk inbox. I've had this email address for over 20 years and the junk email protection level was always set to "exclusive" - junk would be automatically be sent to junk inbox, and I've never had this issue. It just started yesterday. And ever since Hotmail has changed to Outlook, I can't for the life of me see where to check the junk email protection level or resolve this annoying issue. I've Googled this already, and it only comes up with solutions if using Outlook (like your work Outlook email). I've been manually moving the junk emails into the junk inbox, reporting each as junk, and even created rules to have certain emails moved to the junk inbox. Is this the only issue? I'm sure it's a Microsoft issue and I did seek to contact them via chat, but was 122 in the queue lol.
Can anyone help? Has anyone else had this problem?
Thanks so much in advance! It's been bothering me the whole day!!!
Thank you! :)

Thanks for taking the time to read this post and responding. I thought it was only me having this issue, but it looks like others have been affected. Microsoft seems to have resolved this issue as my junk seems to be going to my junk folder now. I hope your problem has also been resolved too. It must've been a blip.
Thanks!
