Ok What Is The Scam Here?
I have an old fridge freezer, bit tatty but in full working order. I advertised it on Gumtree for free if someone wants to collect. Done that many times and mostly someone local comes round and takes it away. Anyway I get this text from someone who's 100+ miles away asking if it's still available. It seems odd to me that someone would do a 200+ mile round trip for something that is basically worthless. So my in built scam detector was activated but I cannot figure out what the scam is, anyone any idea?

Possibly something similar to what I encountered last year:

I have used 'Freegle' for several years with no problems whatever. I have given away over 75 items, some very heavy . On Freegle the person's profile can be checked, where they live and how many items they have offered or collected and whether they have good or bad points. Their admin is reliable. I only post offers in two local areas.
yes retro, that was actually the fastest car in the world at some point in the 50s. Mine is an X350 so it's basically a ford Jag but when I say the last proper jaaag I mean it looks like a jag. Compare that with the X351 which is a stunning car in every way except the most important one, It don't look like a jaaag.
