Wayne Rooney. Vindictiveness and hypocricy.
68 Answers
The treatment of Wayne Rooney over the incident at Upton Park is absolutely outrageous. We've heard all the sanctimonious hypocrites in the media. All the "holier than thou" ex professionals who are prepared to condemn Rooney when they were just as bad when they were playing. You see worse than this every week on the pitch with players hurling insults at each other in full view of the cameras. And who made him a so-called "role model"? What a load of cobblers. And what about the vindictive F.A.? They thought they should have done something the other week on reflection, but this opportunity comes along so we'll give him a two match ban. Oh by the way, Wayne, can you play for England in the next game? It's scandalous. I'd sue the tw4ts if I was Rooney. all of 'em. Talk about victimised. You won't see a more blatant example than this.

Compare the behaviour of footballers with Jaque Kallis's behaviour at the recent cricket World Cup. He was caught behind with a catch that wasn't conclusive as to whether it had carried or not. His reaction? He turned round to the English fielder and asked him if he had caught it cleanly. When the fileder replied he had Kallis tucked his bat under his arm and walked. Can you imagine this behavior in football? me neither.
Managers and other players do not look down the lens of a camera and swear like Rooney did.
The last time I saw a player as hyped up as that after scoring a goal was Maradona and he was coked up to the eyeballs
It wouldn`t suprise me if another scandal involving Rooney is about to surface in the papers and he just let rip at the camera
Anyway, Man Utd always think they are above the law, Rio going shopping instead of taking a drugs test, Fergie getting let off for speeding cos he had the sh!ts, oh and he soon dropped his courtcase about his racehorse Rock Of Gibraltar after someone showed him a photo of a ..ahem...nice young filly he was with
Rooney should take the punishment on the chin and move on...so should you

Wayne Rooney needs to grow up. Fed up of hearing about "the boy" He is 25 and should be reponsible for his own actions and utterances. Sue for what? Not condoning language which I would prefer the younger members of my family (and myself) not to hear? Rather he did not represent England. Negative representation.
Elvis read this if you think United get special treatment
It has been revealed today that Manchester City’s Kolo Toure failed a drugs test which was taken after the Manchester derby.
In April 2003, Mark Bosnich was banned for 9 months and fined £10k for failing a drugs test.
In December 2003, Rio Ferdinand was banned for 8 months and fined £50k for missing a drugs test.
In November 2004, Adrian Mutu was banned for 7 months and fined £20k for failing a drugs test.
As far as I’m concerned, missing a drugs test should be punished the same as failing. However, the case of Rio Ferdinand is distinctly different from just any old “missed drugs test” story.
Before training, he was told along with two other players that he would be tested for drugs after training. Training ended and Rio flew off to town, where he was pictured shopping. At 2.02pm he remembered the drugs test and called the club to ask could he come back for the test. The testers told him he was too late, however they didn’t leave Carrington until 2.27pm, which would have been enough time to return for the test. UEFA’s website confirmed that Rio had asked to take the test on the same day but was told it was too late. An important point to mention is that drug-test procedures do not have a time limit so there was no reason why the testers couldn’t have waited, given the implications of what him not taking the test were. Rio was tested for drugs at their next convenience, two days later, and that test came back negative.
Before Rio’s ban and fine had been announced, PFA chief Gordon Taylor was confident, like many, that there would be no problem in clearing the defender’s name, after the evidence that Rio’s plea to take the test before the testers have left was rejected.

One only has to a small amount of research to find endless TV footage of players, managers and pundits swearing like the proverbial trooper. Seems to ne because Scudamore had issues wirh Fergie the week before, he took this opportunuty to seek revenge. I am not a Man U supporter (sadly, I support Burnley) but it should not be in one person' power to 'mediamonger' this sort of power play. If I was Rooney, I would retire from Internationals, and then watch the FA choke.
Rooney is a complete to**ser. However much money he has he won't turn into prince charming. He is supposedly a natural footballer and that is what he is in the public eye for not for his looks (god forbid) or his charm. But he should take a leaf out of Beckhams book and a good few other real footballers. The man wants binning.
ELVIS - sorry mate, but I have to ask - do you know owt about footy? I ask merely because even the weakest of fans watch MOTD - and if you watch that particular prog, I could not count how many times the pundits have said stuff like"..... and you don't need to be a lipreader to understand what was said".
