It's patently obvious that the club have had to intervene and get a grip of their loose cannon. His days at Liverpool are numbered IMHO and with the increased scrutiny he will now find himself under I doubt it'll be long before he transgresses.
I am certain the American owners are behind this statement. Liverpool FC is a valuable asset and its brand is being trashed by one player and a loyal but misguided manager.
// "I have spoken with the manager [Kenny Dalglish] since the game at Old Trafford and I realise I got things wrong.
"I have not only let him down but also the club and what it stands for and I'm sorry. I made a mistake and I regret what happened.
"I should have shaken Patrice Evra's hand before the game and I want to apologise for my actions.
"I would like to put this whole issue behind me and concentrate on playing football." //
I think the owners will have also told Kenny to get a grip or he is out.

To be fair, SAF was the epitome of the professional manager yesterday, criticised his own player (Evra) for his end of match celebration. Shame KK couldn't bring himself to do the same in relation to Suarez who has made him and the club look like mugs for agreeing to but subsequently refusing the handshake.
Damage already done, 'apology' too late.

Eh?
Have you had an extra large helping of Sherry trifle?
Watch the clip again and see if you can spot the part where Suarez shakes Evra's proffered hand.......as he had agreed to do last Sunday.
Suarez has made a monkey out of KD (a man I hold in high esteem) and out of LFC (not *my* club, but a club that deserves more respect than it is currently receiving from its' own player).
