Now Citeh (the most likely suitor) can come in with a low offer knowing we will have to sell him now or get FA for him in 12 months.
Unless it's all bluster, a la Rooney, to get a better contract offer. But then RvP has said they didn't even discuss contracts or money and his decision is based on him and the club disagreeing on the best way to move the club forward.
Which begs the questionm, what was it that they couldn't agree on?

Haha, my wife has just called me at work to let me know that they have emailed her to say she has made it to the top of the season ticket waiting list.
This is two months after I told them that I wasn't renewing my own season ticket and while I'm still waiting for them to pay me back money they owe me from last season.

Mine was going to be £1360 on renewal, same as last year when the put it up 6.5% from the year before.
They told my wife that there are £1400 tickets available, which would be in similar positions to where mine was and limited (yeah, right) seats at £1100, which will be the back 10 rows behind the goals.
I think £1100 will be the cheapest now, and they go up to about £1900. That not including the platinum Club Level seats.
I was going to just buy a red membership so that I could pick and choose my games this year, but I'm not even going to do that. I've got the right hump with the club now and don't want to give them a penny of my money for now.
Arseblog.com has summed it up for me in his post today.

It does seem a bit suspect to me, didn't discuss money... yeah right! Arsenal know they will get some money for his sale this season, and RVP knows he will get higher wages elsewhere everyone's a winner except the fans.
As much as I'm pleased that United kept Rooney I'm disappointed with SAF who has always stated no one man is bigger than the club and yet backed down when held to ransom by him.
I think it was the same with RVP demanding higher wages and holding them to ransom, but Wenger as seen what is best for Arsenal... sell him now but have kept it behind closed doors.
If he really is a want-away-player why keep him a la Ronaldo.

It's a very odd situation. If van Persie is to be believed, he had a meeting at the end of last season and didn't even discuss a new contract. Now, while the Chief Executive's away, and with the new season beckoning, AND with the prospect of the squad being more settled and stronger than last season, he suddenly makes this announcement.
One might almost detect the foul stench of filthy Manchester lucre in the air.
If he does go there, as club captain, he'll be a hate figure at the Emirates for good and no mistake.

Even if he stays he has burned his bridges as far as I and many other fans are concerned. Most of us have read him all wrong.
No doubt most of this business is RvP being guided my his Mr 20% agent, but that statement is a declaration of war, no doubt. He has made his position at the club untenable and forced the club to sell him.
All this after the club stood by him with his dreadul injury record and after he raped a girl (allegedly) in Rotterdam.
Perhaps that's why he was so Sugar at Euro2012, he wanted to drive his price down to guarantee a sale and ensure that Arsenal don't get the money that he is worth.
Or maybe I'm just bitter.
