Got off lightly in my opinion, won't make a lot of difference to him he'll still get paid. Disappointed with Liverpool's stance. I thought biting someone was a violent act and therefore a criminal offence, why isn't he being prosecuted?

I too liked Cantona. I'd never condone what he did but could empathise.
Just because you're a highly paid footballer it does not give the 'fans' the right to leave their seat, head towards you and verbally abuse you.

It's my understanding Boo, that gifted numpties can get away with a lot due to the vast loads of dosh that get paid at the turnstiles.
Until the fans stay away and the club suffers, then no-one in the FA or other body will take the blindest bit of notice.

I agree with BOD. Imagine you're at your place of work and a work colleague, instead of, say, asking to borrow a pen for example elbowed you in the back of the head knocking you to the floor, having a seconds regret and going to help you to your feet.....only to change his mind again and sink his teeth into your arm. Putting aside club allegiances, or whether someone did something similar last week, who would really expect to keep their job ?? If Liverpool were stupid enough to appeal I'd relegate them for a frivolous appeal.

Defoe hadn't done it before though Triggs, didn't look half as serious with the intent and his record is a tad less tainted than Suarez.
