Yup. Don't think it will stop Swansea fans chanting "You're worse the Newport County" at opposing teams though!

The way Swansea yo-yo up and down the leagues they might be eating those words shortly.
LOL @Svejk. My old brother in law is a Swansea fan. He says that, as a result, he visited every ground in the 92 except two (I think) in a few years. But they've gone beyond the era of employing semi-retired Liverpool players now.

Newport has a better argument for being in an English league than Cardiff and Swansea have, joeluke.

For a long time, until well into the C20, Monmouthshire was regarded as part of England and treated as such. "The Home of the Mole Wrench" is in Monmouthshire. Swansea and Cardiff would have to argue that, in law, England and Wales are as one country, England. Scotland is not so treated. (Why Berwick Rangers are in the league they are in, is another question)
