If I were a Referee I would be asking my union for a Strike and then we would see how the critics would earn their money . Always blaming the Refs for making mistakes- As if Footballers don't make dozens of mistakes in a Match.

Of course footballers make mistakes but they are part of the game itself.
Referees aren't but (as has been several times recently) can completely change the outcome by making very poor decisions.

No one envies the refs their job and I'm sure all of us have watched a game in real time completely disagreeing with the ref but when you see the replay more often than not they are proved right. It is so fast paced nowadays that I think whenever they are unsure they can call for video evidence from the 4th official.
