I've got to say, I am just loving what's going on at Manure! Moyes is doing a great job and their aging, average squad is being found out. (£27.5m for Feillaini, anyone?) Over the years, I've grown to detest everything about that lot, from Old Red Nose, through Whiteside, McClair, Robson, Keane, the Nevilles, Scholes, Horseface, Ferdinand, Rooney and all the dodgy decisions that went their way. Although they are still getting 'celebrity' bias with referees ie Rooney's kick last week, the fear factor has disappeared and teams are going there and having a go. I'd just love it if they finish outside the top four and go into the Thursday Night Challenge, or even better, finish 6th or 7th with no Europe at all. Well, fingers crossed and here's hoping!

I thought I saw the word "laugh" in the title of this thread. There's not much laughing goping on here at the moment. Too much Christmas spirit?

There's another 24 games to go and they are only 5 points behind 4th place so there is everything to play for, but I bet they wish they weren't going to have to play catchup with all those teams above them.
neither am I Daisy, but like you I think this post is sad
I think Fergie knew this would happen and got out at the right time, would be nice to see them finish out of the top four for once though.

As for the Gooners davetuc, you lot were calling for Wengers head after the first game of the season and moaning about lack of signings and now he's God again!

Bit of luck you'll get a few injuries and slide down the table and finish 5th or 6th, getting fed up of you lot wasting a Champions League spot every season
I'm not a Man Utd fan and as such I enjoy a good gloat like the rest, but the short-termism evident in some of the criticism of Moyes is nonsensical.

Clarion, you obviously aren't a football fan, otherwise you might understand the rivalry and tribalism. The big difference between last season and this is that this season is hilarious!
"I am just loving what's going on at Manure"
"I've grown to detest everything about that lot"
"I don't begrudge any teams success"apart from manure!
"it's not about bitterness or jealousy"
"Clarion, you obviously aren't a football fan, otherwise you might understand the rivalry and tribalism"
Ahhh so that's whats being a football fan is all about then hating and detesting manure, quite sad really!
man utd won't win anything this year their not good enough but have the gunners got the bottle to stay at the top we will see!
its between 3 teams now!!
Bernie, I hope they have. It's fun in our house though; me a gooner and OH a red!
lol horseshoes arsenal are playing great footy but can they stay there!
Why can't Spurs beat them then ,never have any luck against them 3 feet over the line no ,no free kick ,diving to get pens .And spurs with no manager (wishful thinking there) .
better ask davetuc must have something to do with a bias ref or linesman

hi clarion i will never understand how people get so incensed over 11 overpaid divers cheats and all other things they get up to on the pitch, never understood it"
As you can see from my name, I'm no Man U fan, but I do admire what Ferguson has done for the club over the last 26 years.

He was always going to be a hard act to follow and I'm sure DM will come good! Just look at how close Ferguson came to being replaced during his early years at Old Trafford.

By the way davetuc, I'll be at the Emirates tomorrow, looking forward to a good game and hopefully at least a point.
Bertie, bit of self belief is all they needed, something they lacked for some reason last season. I NEVER doubted Wenger or called for his sacking when we were not doing so well. Keep the faith!

BlueToffee - should be a good game between two footballing sides. A draw would not be a disaster with other results as they are at the moment. Hope Saints and Stoke can hold on.
When I read davetuc's approach to football, I thank my lucky stars that I far prefer rugby, where there is, at least, a sense of sportsmanship.
DTC, exactly!
