Let's All Laugh At Man Utd!
I've got to say, I am just loving what's going on at Manure! Moyes is doing a great job and their aging, average squad is being found out. (£27.5m for Feillaini, anyone?) Over the years, I've grown to detest everything about that lot, from Old Red Nose, through Whiteside, McClair, Robson, Keane, the Nevilles, Scholes, Horseface, Ferdinand, Rooney and all the dodgy decisions that went their way. Although they are still getting 'celebrity' bias with referees ie Rooney's kick last week, the fear factor has disappeared and teams are going there and having a go. I'd just love it if they finish outside the top four and go into the Thursday Night Challenge, or even better, finish 6th or 7th with no Europe at all. Well, fingers crossed and here's hoping!

I thought I saw the word "laugh" in the title of this thread. There's not much laughing goping on here at the moment. Too much Christmas spirit?

Davetuc - one other thing I've just noticed. In your comment of 23.58 yesterday, you said Arsenal had always finished 1st or 2nd in the group stages. What about 1998/99 when Arsenal finished 3rd behind Dinamo Kiev and Lens (no going into UEFA Cup or Europa League) and 1999/2000, again 3rd in the group behind Barcelona and Fiorentina, and lo and behold, Arsenal were then put in the UEFA Cup. Fact.
Read the quote properly Angie and you'll see it says 'Arsenal have never played in the Europa Cup because we've always finished 1st or 2nd'. I was obviously only talking about the years when 3rd place meant a Europa Cup spot, because Gromit was banging on about it. Obviously, I know we have finished 3rd in the past, but that wasn't the argument. All this stream is now doing is reinforcing my opinion of how Manure fans can't take a joke, any form of criticism, and just look for tit for tat replies. As I said before, it's very reminiscent of 'my dad's bigger than your dad'. Seeing as the stream is full of proverbs, how about 'can't see the wood for the trees!'
