Apparently he hasn't been sacked by the club, he is merely 'on gardening leave' until his contract runs out next summer - when he will have been paid another £3.4m!!!
He had to go, even though we've been playing terrible we're still only 8 points behind the Gooners who are coming to the end of their title challenge!
Rumour has it that all was not well behind the scenes with AVB and the players so hopefully a new manager can get them playing some decent attacking football.
Plus the new man will leave Dawson out as he's a liability at the back

The plain fact is that sacking Villas Boas is the height of nonsense. If he's not the man for Tottenham, and maybe he isn't, then he's in good company. How many managers have Tottenham sacked in recent years? When in fact they've been enjoying, for them, a fairly consistent run of success over the past few seasons.
If I was a manager of any repute I don't think I'd want to touch them with a bargepole.
