They might just scrape in the Europa League - - - might
None
they're going to have to finished 5th or higher, so no chance
i thought they would´ve got the europa place, but their run in isnt in their favour, due to too many home games, remember bad home form.
Everton away, then norwich, sunderland & hull at home.
Nope !
You will be like the Israelites who had to wander in the Desert for 40 Years.
Not sure if David Moyes will still be Manager at the end of it all !
Giggs will probably still be playing and old grumpy will be de-composed in his seat in Directors Box ! :-)))
They would still need Everton (4pts ahead with a game in hand) and Arsenal (7pts ahead) to lose sufficient points in the few remaining games for them to close the gap.
BB, Everton are 6 points ahead with a game in hand.
ah yes, i forgot that ManU are down in 7th
No chance of top 4 so they are out of the Champions League, but there is a reasonable chance of qualification for the Europa League.

Assuming the top four are Manchester City, Chelsea, Liverpool and Everton, then Arsenal would get the 5th place Europa spot. But they might get that by winning the FA Cup . Manchester City have qualified for the Europa, but if they qualify for the Champions League they won't take that place. Unlike the FA Cup, the League Cup runners up do not get the Europa spot the highest placed Barclays Premier League team qualify. So United could come 6th behind Arsenal and qualify for the Europa Leage with the FA Cup runners up.

United's fate rests on Everton beating Arsenal to the Champions League place and Arsenal winning the FA Cup.

However, I would rather United missed the Europa place as it is a lot of bother for not much reward.
I am looking forward to seeing them in the "Johnstone's Paints Leyland Daf Swizzels Sweets" cup ...
They'd have to negotiate the qualifying round first!
//Assuming the top four are Manchester City, Chelsea, Liverpool and Everton,//

Oh I do hope you're right Gromit
Of course, Sipo - and the likes of Hinckley United and Nuneaton Town are going to be a heck of a challenge on current form :)
Everton have to play Manchester City in their remaining games, and Manchester United. Ironically, a poor United performance might boost their chances of playing in Europe. 3 points for Everton in that fixture would gift 4th place to Everton.
I assume Moyes would dearly love to beat Everton though, he wouldn't do his old team a favour and help his own chances of European football next season by throwing the match, would he?
is there any chance that they can win the respect fair play trophy and get a europe spot like man city did a few years back or have they stopped that
^ ^ ^

With Vidic in the team?

Yes, the FairPlay does still get a place, but I do not know how United are in that League.
Nope.

16th out of 20 in England.
fluffing ell Gromit they are going to end up like liverpool have been for donkeys years at this rate

at the start of every season will there fans post on here things like now we have signed bert from doncaster rovers i think we might win it -)

Hard to believe that United have the best away record in the league.

With the Champs league gone for next season I for one don't want to see them messing about in the Europa league again.
It is easy to be snooty about the Europa Cup, but it is worth remembering that Sir Alex Ferguson's first European success at Manchester United was winning the European Cup Winners Cup in 1990.
