SAF managed to get the best out of some (Being honest some average players) .. but did leave some upcoming players for Moyes, to be fair they didn't play for him. The board (Glaziers) like LVG because he adheres to their every quim... reports etcs. While Jose has won things he comes with a bit of "baggage".

For example remember when he bit somebody while there was a touchline argument going on at Real Madrid.

I don't think Man Utd, who have a worldwide image and fan base to think of, would want to take the risk.

So Jose wont be going there.
>>most coveted role in football

btw I am not sure I would agree with this.

Probably Barcelona and Real Madrid would be more coveted by most managers.

Also PSG and Man C probably have more money to buy players than Man U and that will attract managers (though to be fair Man U have splashed the cash a lot in the last couple of years- but to little benefit it seems).

Also Bayern is an attractive option for managers as well, also a couple of Italian clubs.

I would say Man U is ONE of the coveted roles but not THE coveted role.
Jose was available when Furgie retired, he wasn't wanted then and I don't think he will be now.
When Fergie retired they were playing decent football.

Thanks for the link Tony, I hadn't seen or heard that... he is more than likely to take over by the looks of things...
I'd bet on it, Arksided.
They will regret it if they appoint him - he is trouble.
From what I have observed of late ... it's currenty the theatre of nightmares.

Guardiola is on his way to City.

I would have preferred pep to Jose but I'm not convinced either have shown to be particularly adept in the long term. But the the thought of one at united and the other at city is very exciting
I agree, Thanks for BA.
Just make sure there are no intelligent and gifted females on the staff
Ohhhhhh.
Hang on now, Fergus chose David Moyes.
Fergus? How did he sneak in there?
