Just been announced that Arsene Wenger is to step down at the end of the season. Not totally unexpected, perhaps, given the current atmosphere at Arsenal, but let's not forget just what he did for the club. Whoever takes over has a big pair of shoes to fill.
They will have someone lined up for the job already, but appointing the 'right' person could be a nightmare, as other Clubs have found out to their cost.
When he first went to Arsenal there is no denying how brilliantly he did bringing in the French national side. He hasn't really kept up with the changing times in the last decade or so.
I'm looking forward to the Wenger V Ferguson years documentary on C5 this Monday.
Let them have Moyes he does OK at mediocre clubs Man United were too big for him and the shoes to fill.
West Ham have done the right thing by Moyes: given him control - and presumably time - to do things his way.
I agree that they’ll have a replacement in mind for Arsene. Hopefully a young dynamic coach
