Hi everyone - I'm posting this continuation thread early so that we're guaranteed to have "Latest Posts" showing over the upcoming busy period. The last thread is here -

https://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Sport/Football/Question1634166.html

I'll post reminders of the schedule prior to (or on) each match day as a reminder to get Captains changed & to shuffle any injuries if needed.

I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas, a Happy New Year & plenty of points to show for your efforts! Be well, all :-))

A nudge - sort your Captains out for the weekend's matches - 1st kick-off today 3:00 :-)
Just waiting for Sky to reveal the team selections. Captains set, but will have 30 mins to change todays if a "captain" is not picked. Not that it is doing me much good. I have developed a habit of picking the wrong captain in the last few weeks or so.

Hi everyone - here's the schedule for the next few days so you can get your Captains sorted out -

Tue 1st Jan - 3 matches, first kick-off 12:30
Wed 2nd Jan - 6 evening matches, 1st kick-off 7:45
Thu 3rd Jan - 1 evening match, kick-off 8:00

That match on Thursday - Man City v Liverpool - could be awkward for some regarding Captain picks...

If I'm about in the morning, I'll bump the thread again then, but in any case I'll take this opportunity to wish you all a Happy New Year!

Be well :-))

Rats! Stupid italics, I forgot to retype the apostrophes.
Captains set, but will be watching for squad rotation "spanner in works" syndrome.

Happy New Year LiK.
Happy new year folks, my teams aren't looking too bad considering... but just a look and both teams knocked out of the Cup in the second round one with a considerable score of 77 just my luck to be up against a score of 92.

A nudge to remind you of this evening's matches, first kick-off is 7:45 - sort your Captains if you've not already done so.

After a decent 1st weekend in the busy season, I'm back in "slump" mode. It doesn't help when the real managers leave my players on the bench, or - even worse - one gets a hurty toe or something (bless, delicate souls they are) in the warm-up & I don't know it happened until I watch the highlights.

Heigh-ho, onward we go... :-)
Always difficult to select captains etc... because of the busy season...and lol I know what you mean about tripping over a blade of grass so needs to be rested. I'm sure most of us if capable would run our little cotton socks off every game if being paid that kind of money.

I listen to talksport quite often but had to turn it off going on ... and on about a fixture tomorrow???

Last bump for the day from me - 7:45 kick-off...

Arky - tomorrow's match... be nice if it lives up to the hype, but it could be *so* tight it becomes boring. We'll see.
Don't forget as a United fan I have a real distaste for both clubs... they started doing my head in... on talksport

Funny old game isn't it. it could be a cracking match... or a humdinger.
They've had a talking to - how much good it will I don't know.
Our AB league has shifted about a bit Mamya, I have to admit I have players from both teams in tomorrows fixture :-(

Hi everyone! I hope the New Year is proving a good - or at least halfway decent - one so far.

After another hiatus, the Premier League is back on track & the schedule for this weekend (Game Week 23) looks like this -

Sat 12th - 7 matches, first kick-off 12:30
Sun 13th - 2 matches, first kick-off 2:15
Mon 14th - 1 evening match, kick-off 8:00

No mucking about with my teams really needed, but I'm still hoping for much better from the midfields - barring a couple of occasions, they've underperformed so far.

I'm a firm believer that if the other side scores first, you have to score twice to win

Bump - in case you want to set your Captains pre-match day :-)
Evening LiK. Got your earlier post and was going to post about now anyway. Been busy knocking up a bit of din dins.(and having an "appetiser"). Set captains during the week but will be scanning the injury lists and keeping an eye on the Sky preview tomorrow morning. Saturday looks like the day to get it right, if only I could.(there is a song there somewhere)

Bump for today - 1st match is 12:30...
Well amazingly no changes to be made, just need them to start performing as I know they can. Captains all set for the next few days.

Suppose this post will be the final bump of the day if like myself leaving it a bit late to check on your teams.
