Why Am I Still Seeing Eejits Walking Down The Road With Masks On?

For what it's worth I hate masks and haven't worn one except in times and places where it was compulsory. I too fail to understand why so many people are still wearing them in the street and in shops. If they think it's protecting them they're deluded. I blame "project fear" and the government. Do we wear masks against flu or the common cold? No.

Why am I reading eejits who ask this. I wouldnt wear one outdoors ... unless I'm going from shop to shop, but I'm not vunerable, so maybe those that are are just been extra cautious or extra considerate . In time there use will continue to fall but some are still choosing to wear them where is not compulsory, thats there choice, respect it
Some of these eejits are, like my late husband, immunocompromised.
Doing everything they possibly can, however little, to protect themselves helps both physically and mentally.
Like us they are longing to go out and about again but will of course come into contact with eejits who think they know better than everyone else.
FFP2 masks do actually protect the wearer as well as others.

Stores don’t mandate that you *have* to wear a mask, but they suggest you do. It might be that the people you’ve seen are going from one shop to another and can’t be bothered to take their mask off.
I know that I do that and recognise how mad I must look between stores.
Is this why you conclude that these people are ‘eejits’?
