There's no doubt about it in my opinion, this team are very good. I only caught the last 20 minutes of the game but I was most impressed by the organisation and the passing of the team, not to mention the positive approach with a minimum of the negative sideways and backward movement now so prevalent in the male game at the top. jno, what are you babbling on about. It's a sporting contest in which there has to be a winner and a loser. I lost a fiver, but the Lionesses are in the final. Fair exchange in my book.
As I’ve pointed out ToraToraTora, why did you bring politics into a football thread when nobody else did?
sandyRoe even concurred with my post, the pundits were negative about Englands performance.
Well done the Lionesses btw, hopefully they can go on and complete what their male colleagues couldn’t at Wembley.

Thank you girls for such splendid entertainment, regardless of the result (but well done on that too obviously).
Err you did. You were the one who meantioned it being "typical 5C" when Fatti (correctly) said that England were a tad fortunate to be ahead at half time.
Dreading the sports news...................
I hope the next 5 days or so are not going to have moronic people in England shirts bellowing "Inger-land" behind some desperate news reporter after asking them some inane questions.
How many times can you ask the same thing in different ways?
I watched all of it and really enjoyed it, a good game of football with a lot of first time passes and a bit of skill on show. What I liked was that there was no sitting back when we were 2-0 up, just kept playing the same way and capitalising on the gaps Sweden were forced into leaving.
The scoreline flattered England, it could easily have been 2-2 after the 90 but sometimes you need a bit of luck and it allowed us to put a few of the subs on at the end to conserve energy.
mozz; "Err you did. You were the one who meantioned it being "typical 5C" when Fatti (correctly) said that England were a tad fortunate to be ahead at half time. " - That's not political, the anti British inhabit many subject areas.
