Putting this up now in case i forget tomorrow.

Man Utd host their bitter rivals City tomorrow - kick off 12.30 - and it is this match that Willy Hill have chosen for their 'Epic Value' bet.

United have only been involved in one 0-0 draw in the PL, this season while City have yet to play out a 0-0 away in the league.

There have been just 3 goal-less draws between the two sides, in all comps, this century, when Utd have hosted the match - '04, '15 and '20 - from a total of 27 meetings.

At the moment, City may not be scoring for fun away from home, but Utd have bagged 14 goals in their last 5 home games in all comps.

That's enough to persuade me to part with a tenner and accept WH's very generous offer of EVENS that at least one goal will be scored in the match - correct odds are 1/33.

Erm, that's what i said - line 2 :-)
Sorry - I should have read it more carefully. I;ll be backing United at 3/1.

I don't follow either side so the tenner on a goal will suffice for me, Novalis. Best of luck with your punt :-)
I won £95 last night on the Fulham v Chelsea match, using one of Bet365's 'bet-builders' - Willian to have over 0.5 shots on goal (i.e. at least one shot on target), both sides to score and Fulham to win the match. £5 staked @ 18s.
Well done on last night's success. Like you I follow neither team but current form and home advantage suggest that United are over-priced.
Ooooh I'm tempted with this one .....

You're one of the reasons i posted it early, Giz. I know you follow from time to time. If you lose, you can always charge a few quid extra for cleaning the windows :-))

Had to wait an hour but all's well that ends well :-)
Well worth the wait - kerching :)
I had to wait longer and it was nail-biting time when City scored first to get your bet up.
Question Author
Well punted, Novalis :-)
Thank you. It makes up for my usual ailment of equine seconditis.
Question Author
I didn't watch the match, i was too busy watching Bar
Steward Rovers getting thumped 4-0. I shouldn't laugh - but i did :-))
That's your money doubled then
Question Author
Yes Rowan. T'isn't much, but it's a helluvalot better than losing a tenner :-)
I'm £20 ish up this year so far, cleared about £40 by the end of 2022, just start with £20 in January and see how far I can get. Best year was a few years back when a random bet saw me put an odd quid on Ivanovic to score a hat trick.... He did at 200-1, Dave and I had a couple of nights away on that one.
I've got a friend who's on his way over to my place for a night out tonight.
He's coming from Sheffield, although he's a Rotherham supporter .... I shall thank him personally when he gets here in about half an hour :)
