Steven Gerrard, he carries the whole team week in week out.
Dennis Bergkamp.
Then a toss up between Marc Overmars and Anders Limpar or Peter Beardsley and maybe Alan Shearer.
I'm going for Limpar, not that I'm biased. LOL
1. Roy Keane. Captain of the best premiership team. Would always let his team-mates know when they weren't pulling their weight. Fearsome competitor.

2. John Terry. Central defenders often get overlooked, but this guy never knows when he is beaten. Born leader, and someone you can always rely on.

3. Thierry Henry. Awesome goalscoring record. Arsenal miss him more than any other player, believe me.
Agree with lesblue roy keene , when he was around you had to eat your prawns quietly or he would give you a right dirty look
1. Alan Shearer

2. David Beckham

3. Wayne Rooney. No, hang on ... the goalie with the moustache who was at Wimbledon. David Semen, that's it. Or ... Gary Linekar?

... because I can't really think of many other Premiership players.

Oh, JohnTerry?
The last 10 years means they are still going at it now so take your pick!
Steve Gerrard (Liverpool would be in the Blue Square North if it wasn't for him)
Frank Lampard
Paul Scholes
Ryan Giggs
All consistently excellent for a decade.
Outsider....Kevin Davies Bolton Wanderers.
Gerard,
Keane,
Terry,
All are or were the mainstay of their team, first names on the teamsheet.
titus bramble!!!
dm1982....do you mean Tittus Bramble LOL wouldn't cross the road to watch him.

1) Gerrard
2) Terry
3) Beckham.

You did state ALL ROUND player.
I'd have to go with Roy Keane.

An absolute leader on the pitch
Question Author
My own would have to be

Roy Keane

Alan Shearer

Thierry Henry

Great players very hard to pick only three.
1. Roy Keane, as above. Dare we say more?

Second choice is harder I think, so staying away from naming United players. I'd have to say Gerrard and Henry joint second.

As is mentioned above Gerrard on occasion has carried L'pool single handily.
And well Henry Inspirational for the Arsenal team (alike to another famous Frenchman but Eric left eleven years ago but worthy of a mention)

As you've said very difficult only naming three.
1.ryan giggs for his deadacation and drive and abilty to change his game as the years have caught up.
2.frank lampard because of his massive improvment from his west ham days great goal scorer and passer of the ball
3.shay given for playing in some poor teams but always looks solid a reliable.i belive he could of played for any of the so called big 4
