Claims that City bid 50 million for Torres on Monday are inaccurate, although the clubs would-be owners have flexed their financial muscle further by promising to lay on a private jet to bring back Robinho after Brazils match against Bolivia in Rio on Wednesday so that he is as fresh as possible for the game against Chelsea three days later."

At the moment, City are in a Catch 22 situation despite all their millions.
They can't win anything because the players are not good enough, the good enough players don't want to go there because they are not successful.
The amusing bit for me as a Man Utd fan is that the City fans really believe United have only been successful all these years because of their perceived wealth, so they are a bit puzzled why the best players and the success have not materialised .
